Letters To You: 2

Dear you,

No matter who you are or what you’ve done, you deserve to be encouraged. I know our days can get interrupted with unexpected events, I know emergencies happen at the least expected moment, and I know even our plans for our lives can take a turn and not go as planned. At this point in our lives I’m sure we’ve all figured out that the events of life are out of our control. However, we don’t have to lose hope because I know the one who knows all things! He even knows the number of hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30) and if you’re bald I’m positive he knows the number of hairs in your beard as well! The omniscience of God means that he is all knowing so basically he holds all knowledge of the past, present, and future. How comforting is it to know that he knows your tomorrow before it even gets here? Or must I say I hope it comforts you…I understand it might not if you do not believe in God. And if you don’t, I must beg of you to give him a try. My home church pastor has always said, “Just give God a try. I’ve never known anyone to try him and not like him.” I agree with this statement, and I don’t just like God, I love God. He has become my best friend, supporter, comforter, peace, and I want him to be all of these things in your life as well. I don’t want you to live a life of fear, worrying every second about what is going to happen next. Give God what is already his: your life, your future, and everything in between. Even though I still might not know everything my future holds, I find comfort in knowing the one who does. Moreover, whatever is going on in your life that might have been unexpected or not planned, do not fear for God wants you to know that he is with you and he is your God. He will strengthen you and help you if you allow him too (Isaiah 41:10). We humans sometimes think we have it all figured out and we can do it all on our own. I’m not sure when needing or asking for help became a sign of weakness, but its not. Asking for help when dealing with something that is out of our control is a very wise decision. We all need counsel every once and a while, and why not get it from the one called Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6)? I don’t know about you but one of my names or nicknames is definitely not Wonderful Counselor so I’m going to leave that title with my God and my God only. I mean come on, its not one of his many names for no reason. Give God a try and trust him enough to lay the puzzle pieces of your life in his hands. He won’t lose a piece or try to fit two pieces together that don’t fit like we would; He knows what he is doing, you just have to trust him. He created your life, so he definitely knows how to put all the pieces together. I want you to know that this life will not overpower you. Worry and stress less and trust God more. You’re forever on my prayer list, be blessed.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Sincerely,

A young woman who loves God, makes mistakes, and wants God’s best for you.
