Hello,
I might not know you and you might not know me. However, I do know that many times I’ve prayed and wished that I would walk out to my car and have a letter of encouragement to get me through the day or read something to give me some much needed hope. Therefore, I’m taking a chance on “seeming like” a crazy person (I promise I’m not) by writing you this letter, in hopes that you might need it like I once did. Let’s be honest, this life is crazy. It’s totally out of our control what happens to us on a day-to-day basis, and I’ve finally come to the realization where I understand that. I also understand who is in control, which gives me much peace. As long as I can remember, I’ve been a believer in Jesus and God. I went to church regularly as a child, when it was easy to believe because life was great! I had no bills, job, relationships, responsibilities, health problems, so everything was easy as pie. Then, I grew up. Things got hard. I had to actually put effort and thought into believing in God. It didn’t come easy because I had things in my life that weren’t good and I didn’t understand how I could consider the actuality of God if bad things were happening. But let me tell you, I’m sure glad I did. I’m here to tell you that the thought and time it takes you to trust in God is worth it. It’s an investment without any risk. Whatever it is that is going on in your life, God can help you. I promise nothing is too big for him. Matter of fact, that’s what he wants us to do, is give it him, so he can handle it. All worrying does to us is stresses us out, gives us wrinkles, and makes us a not so pleasant person to be around. And last time I checked, wrinkle cream is ridiculously expensive! Also, I am not telling you this as a pastor of a church, a Sunday school teacher, or some leader of a church ministry. Matter of fact, I’m none of those things. I’m a young woman, who loves God, who is still getting to know God, who makes mistakes every day, who still doesn’t know what her calling is, who doesn’t read her bible any enough, who just wants to make someone else’s day better by telling them they do not have to do it alone. God is with you. Do you hear me? GOD IS WITH YOU. Even though I might not know you, I love you in Christ Jesus. I know there are Christians who aren’t the best influence when it comes to believing in God. But remember, there are bad teachers, doctors, lawyers, construction workers, nurses, receptionist, etc. There is always a bad apple in the bag, but don’t let it spoil the whole bag. If we all threw away the entire bag of apples every time we found a bad one, we probably wouldn’t even know what an apple taste like! So like I said before, I’m not perfect, matter of fact, you’re probably more perfect than me. But I need to tell you that God exist, he created you, and he loves you, and he’s just waiting to share his love with you. You are forever on my prayer list. Be blessed.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.” – Philippians 4:6
Sincerely,
A young woman who loves God, makes mistakes, and wants God’s best for you.
